Yesterday the Academy award nominations were announced and if you're a movie fan you'll see some surprises on the nomination list:

ACADEMY AWARDS: Nominees Announced:
 
Nominees for the 84th annual Academy Awards have been announced in Los Angeles. Oscar-nominated actress Jennifer Lawrence (Winter's Bone) helped read the names at the press conference. This is the first time there have been nine nominees for Best Picture. The Academy Awards will be handed out on February 26th.
