May 6th to 12th is Emergency Preparedness Week across the Province.
The Alberta Emergency Management Agency is warning people that a disaster can happen at any time, especially after the occurance of last year's Slave Lake wild fire.
John Muir of the AEMA says an event like that can remind people how quickly tragedy can strike.
Muir also says that a kit with supplies lasting up to three days is ideal.
