The Victoria Day long weekend is one of the worst on the roads for drivers.

RCMP will be increasing checks throughout Whitecourt and the surrounding area.

Constable Mike Hibbs of the Whitecourt Integrated Traffic department says there will be a 'zero' tolerance policy for all motorists. 

He warns that if you are traveling, make sure you have all the proper documentation in case you are stopped.
