The CWB says the 2011-12 initial payments for all grades and classes of wheat and durum will increase effective Monday.
No. 1 Canada Western Red Spring wheat 12.5% is up $28.00 to $252.35 per tonne.
No 1 Canada Western Amber Durum 12.5 is up $44.00 to $303.30 per tonne.
The total initial payment to date is basis in-store Vancouver or St. Lawrence and must be adjusted for freight/elevation charges to arrive at farmgate prices.
Farmers who delivered wheat or durum to CWB between August 1, 2011 to June 10, 2012 will receive an adjustment payment.
Producers will receive payment by direct deposit on June 26. Cheques will be delivered via Canada Post by July 6.
Farmers who wish to defer payments have until June 22 to notify the CWB.
