Just in time for the Summer Olympics .. the competition between us and the Americans just heated up in another way .
According to data released earlier this month, the average Canadian is RICHER than the average American for the first time in recent history.
A company called Environics Analytics did the study, and found that the average Canadian household has a net worth of $363,202. The average American household is only worth $319,970 . . . which is about $40,000 LESS.
The Canadian dollar is strong right now, and our housing market bounced back faster than the American market has . . . which helped contribute to the difference. Canada's unemployment rate is also one percentage point lower than the U.S.
