Ethanol Production Continues to Increase
A new report says the amount of ethanol produced globally has doubled since 2005.
It pegs global biofuel production at 110 billion litres in 2010, and it forecasts that will grow to over 196 billion litres by 2020.
The report says the industry supported nearly one-point-four million jobs in 2010 and forecasts that will grow to over two-point-two million jobs by 2020.
It's expected that the U-S, Brazil and the European Union will continue to lead in biofuels production.
The report was commissioned by the Global Renewable Fuels Alliance.
