Several reports of a vehicle stunting came into the RCMP detachment in Barrhead yesterday.

As Mounties embarked to find the hooligan, a report came in that a truck crashed into the wall of a local hotel.  Several people were in the vehicle as RCMP arrived, except the driver, who had fled on foot.

The occupant of the room had stepped out just prior to the accident.

Alcohol was a significant factor in the incident and the driver is facing several charges, including public mischief.

And there were more reports of family crime in Barrhead.  This time, a 57 year old male showed up at the residence of his 49 year old niece and threatened to shoot her.

He was located by RCMP members a short while after leaving the home.  He is facing charges of uttering threats.
