An October snowfall plagued the area this week.  Several centimeters came down over a 36 hour stretch in west central Alberta.  Environment Canada has released summary totals for the storm.

Whitecourt unofficially registered 16 cm as of 9:00 last night.  Slave Lake lead the way with 28 cm.  Weather is believed to be a factor in a fatal collision outside of the town Wednesday.

Grande Cache picked up 20 cm as well.
