Two people are facing charges after a brazen incident Sunday in Barrhead.  A trailer that was attached to a Ford F-350 was being loaded, a vehicle pulled up and a male jumped out and got into the F-350, taking it for an unauthorized spin as the owner watched.

The owner would follow, watching as the thief lost control and got stuck.  He would abandon the vehicle and flee on foot. He was arrested a shortwhile later.

The suspect that was driving the getaway vehicle was being followed and when RCMP arrived, a low speed pursuit began.  The driver attempted to drive through several barbed wire fences, before becoming stuck in a ditch.

A 35 year old Edmonton woman was arrested.  Her and her 34 year old male friend of no fixed addressed are both facing a number of charges, including theft over $5000 and flight from police.  The male was wanted on a number of charges in surrounding jurisdictions.
