Whitecourt and Woodlands County’s newest school is now officially open.
École St. Joesph School had its grand opening on November 3rd.
The new facility, which houses 650 students from grades four to 12, offers flexible and adaptive learning spaces and programs.
The school is also energy and environmentally efficient.
The original St. Joe’s school was built in 1961. After the school began to show its age, it was decided in 2014 that a new school would be built.
Construction on the new facility began at the new location on McIllwaine Drive in the spring of 2016, with doors opening to students this September.
