Food bank season is back. As the cold temperatures settle in, the requests for items increase.
The Edson Food Bank has been steady over the past year, both in terms of requests and donations. Requests however, haven’t been as high as in some previous years.
A delivery early this Fall from the Alberta Food Bank has helped them with requests so far.
Vice President of the Edson Food Bank, Gary Kearse, says in terms of donations, items that can be cooked on a hot plate are ideal.
They would like to see items such as Kraft Dinner, coffee, spaghetti and sauces brought in to help fill requests.
