A copper wire theft in Drayton Valley this past July has lead to charges against a pair of males after a lengthy investigation.

Mounties say 30 year old Blaine Olson and 29 year old Craig Molson are responsible for more than $200,000 in copper wire being taken at Obsidian Energy this past summer.

RCMP have taken Drayton Valley resident Olson into custody, but are hoping to track down B.C. resident Molson.

Both men are facing three counts of theft.
