The battle in Lac Ste. Anne County over the cost of a freedom of information request continues.
After receiving two bills totaling $16,000 over freedom of information requests, the ratepayers association in Lac Ste. Anne is still out seeking an ease to the cost.
According to President Chris Yeoman, the lower costing request has already been dropped via the Freedom of Information Commissioner. However, they are still waiting on one more ruling.
Yeoman says the original request came in June and they haven’t reached out to the new council yet.
The FOI requests were over the new administration building near Sangudo. County staff said the information requested would have totaled almost 350 hours.
Yeoman says they likely won’t hear until the spring on the final cost.
