Despite poor reviews from some stakeholders, the Alberta Government’s Caribou Range Plan is being met with positivity from the Alberta Forest Alliance.
The Alliance believes the government was in a tough situation to present a balanced document with so many interested parties.
Spokesperson for the Forest Alliance and Whitecourt Town Councillor Ray Hilts shares his initial thoughts.
More consultation is scheduled for the Alberta government.
They will hold five sessions towards the end of February, one of which is in Whitecourt on the 20th.
