After a New Years day flood at the Carlan Centre when a water pipe burst, the Whitecourt Gymnastics Club is left picking up the pieces and wondering about their future.

The non-profit gym has water damage to their mats and other equipment, forcing them to cancel their winter session.

Club President, Cindy Jocksch says they are now facing financial strains as a result.

Jocksch says they are still waiting on insurance before they can move forward with cleanup.

To help cover costs, the club has set up a GoFundMe page and will be holding a silent auction from January 22nd to the 29th.

The auction will be able to be viewed on their FaceBook page once it starts.

Donations or sponsors can also be dropped off at the Liquor Depot in Whitecourt.

All money raised will go towards covering costs in the cleanup, and going towards paying coaches, buying new mats and other expenses.
