The 2016-2017 hockey season for the Whitecourt Wolverines was one of uncertainty after abysmal attendance.
2017-2018 has been the complete opposite of that, with the team already eclipsing last year’s attendance numbers with a handful of home games still to play.
Play by play man Andrew Peard on reaching those numbers.
Peard says there are a number of promotional events still on the horizon as well.
On December 16th, 2017, the Wolverines hit their season high when over 1000 fans showed up against Spruce Grove.
Last year, their highest attended game was against Lloydminster, with 686 fans in the arena.
More than 15,000 fans have shown up to home games this season.
