It looks like parts of Woodlands County will be getting better cell phone and internet coverage.
County council met with a delegation from Telus this week to discuss moving ahead with plans to bring high-speed internet services and better cell phone coverage to areas that currently lack them.
Areas such as Anselmo, Goose Lake, Fort Assiniboine, and Flats Roads currently have little to no coverage, which is cited as a safety concern.
Mayor Jim Rennie on the plans ahead.
Rennie says they have been working with Telus for a while to get improvements, and the introduction of Telus’ Smart Hub has already taken a number of places off the dead spots list.
