Those involved in last week’s Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy were honoured last night in a candlelight vigil in Whitecourt.
Held inside the Scott Safety Centre, tributes were made and candles were lit for the 15 people killed in the crash, as well as the 14 survivors.
Organizer Kelly Gray on how the tragedy has impacted people in town and beyond.
Gray said in planning the vigil, they tried to pair up people who had connections to those involved in Friday’s crash to light the candles.
Former Wolverine Stephen Wack, who passed away, was honoured at the vigil.
People in attendance also signed a ‘Humboldt Strong’ banner with messages that will be delivered to Humboldt later this week.
