New Program in Yellowhead County To Deal With Wild Boar Problem

A new program in Yellowhead County is aimed at preventing the wild board population escalating into a major problem.

In North America, wild boars will cause up to $1.5 billion in damage.

The County has passed a prohibited animals bylaw to help with the increasing boar population.

Yellowhead County Mayor Gerald Soroka on the purpose of this project.

The County was also happy to hear that the province has granted a two-year extension on the boar cull program, which gave people $50 for every set of ears turned in.
