A group of Hilltop High School students held a charity luncheon and silent auction on Wednesday to raise funds for the #250Project.

The project raises money for three not-for-profit organizations; Lorne’s Blanket, Hilltop Humanitarian Society, and the Canadian Nurses for Africa, with a goal of $250 to be split between the three.

Grade 11 student and organizer Colleen Harder on the project.

This was the first annual luncheon and it featured a three-course meal of salad, pasta, and dessert prepared by students, as well as entertainment with students singing and playing music.

Harder says they look forward to doing the luncheon again next year.
