It’ll be a little brighter for those going into Rotary Park in the future.
The Town of Whitecourt has reached an agreement with Fortis to install 25 new LED Domus streetlights along 51st Street, from the Whitecourt Fire Hall to Rotary Park and within its parking lot.
Mayor Maryann Chichak on the lights.
Chichak says the lights may come by the end of this construction year, but it’s more likely they will be built by early next year.
The lights are part of the Vitalization Project for downtown Whitecourt.
It will cost $166,530 to install the lights, which is allocated in the 2018 budget.
