The community of Barrhead came together recently to raise some money to buy a local man a scooter. Rick is a local Barrhead man that has had mobility issues for a few years.

The store manager for Fyfe’s Friendly Pharmacy Penny Wyton, decided it was time to do a friendly gesture for Rick and help him out.

Trina is a cashier at Fyfe’s Friendly Pharmacy and explains Wyton’s decision in raising money for the scooter.

The scooter originally belonged to Wyton’s father but was never used after it was purchased. Trina went on to say that the scooter was worth 800$ and through donations was payed off in 48 hours.

With more money being donated to Rick, it has allowed Wyton to buy the local man a new battery and basket for the scooter.
