Two Arrested near Spruce Grove

The Spruce Grove-Stony Plain RCMP arrested two people after escaping from police. 42 year old from Red Deer, Jody Peters along with 27 year old female from Edmonton Shantell Hebert was arrested on Tuesday July 31.

At approximately 3:30 am, members of Spruce Grove-Stony Plain RCMP located a suspicous vehicle at a construction site in Spruce Grove. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, however the driver drove away.

With the assistance of Edmonton Police services Air 1 and RCMP Police Dog services, Police members were able to track the suspect hiding under a trailer in a field near Range Road 272. A second suspect was arrested a short time later by Morinville RCMP.

Peters was charged with 13 offences including Flight from Police, Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and possesion of methamphetamine. Peters was taken into custody with a court date on August 22.

Hebert was charged with failing to comply with undertaking, she was released from custody and will appear in Stony Plain court on September 6.
