Woodlands County Mayor Jim Rennie on how big the problem of copper theft is locally.

Rennie says it is a safety issue for employees at affected companies to replace live wiring that has been stripped.

He says the working solution with the province would be to ensure only certified dealers can accept copper to make it more difficult for thieves to sell it to scrap yards.
