Living Waters School Division No. 42 and the AUPE representing 120 support staff workers will return to the bargaining table next week in another attempt to reach a new deal.
In a media release Wednesday morning, Living Waters said they were at the bargaining table with AUPE all day and into the evening on October 2nd, but were not able to come to any agreements.
The parties have agreed to come back to the table on October 9th to resume bargaining.
In the meantime, AUPE continues to strike in protest of working hours and wages. They first went on strike last Friday.
The media release says that “schools remain open, our staff remain committed to meeting the needs of our students, and we thanks our school community for their understanding and patience.”
