A man is facing numerous charges after Mayerthorpe RCMP responded to an assault with a weapon and dangerous driving complaint at a private residence on October 1st.
It is alleged that an adult male used his vehicle to repeatedly ram into another vehicle containing two adult female occupants before using his vehicle to block the driveway.
The two females were uninjured and sought shelter inside the residence.
The male fled but RCMP located him a short distance from the residence and conducted a traffic stop, where the male was arrested without incident.
Jack Alexis-Bruno, 28, of Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation, has been charged with assault with a weapon (vehicle), dangerous driving, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, failing to provide a breath sample, and impaired care or control of a motor vehicle.
He was released from custody and will appear in Glenevis Provincial Court in Mayerthorpe on November 15th, 2018.
