The Woodlands Express will soon no longer be a fixture in all county residents’ mailboxes.

The free newspaper goes out to all residents, but Woodlands County Council discussed this week the fact that many of the papers end up getting thrown out at the post office.

Mayor Jim Rennie on what Council would like to see happen with the paper’s distribution going forward.

Rennie says a county survey was conducted and it found most residents in Goose Lake, Fort Assiniboine, and Anselmo wanted to still receive the paper in their mailboxes, and as a result Council will continue providing it for them in their mail.
