At the Policies and Priorities meeting this week, Whitecourt Town Councilors discussed more of the 2019 budget ahead of upcoming deliberations.
Council was presented with the Whitecourt Regional Solid Waste Management Authority’s Capital and Operating Budget for next year. They also heard from the Protective Services Committee and looked at the proposed Whitecourt and District Public Library Budget.

Council also discussed the idea of imposing a $10 fee on volunteer criminal record checks, which was first brought up in the summer. Council, for now, has decided to wait on a final decision for that.
