Christmas Hamper Committee Member, Koren Scott on seeing the numbers increase year after year.
The biggest change for the Christmas Hamper this year is that they are no longer accepting food donations since in years past they were competing with the Food Bank. Donations this year can include cash and new or unwrapped toys for young children and teenagers.
White donation bins are set up at various businesses around town for people to drop donations off, and the names of the businesses are available on the Whitecourt Christmas Hamper Facebook page. Donations via cash or cheque can be dropped off at Re/Max on Main Street, or mailed to 47 Ravine Drive, Whitecourt, AB, T7S 1H5.
Application times are from 11-3 on December 1st, 5th and 7th, and from 7-9 pm on December 6th.
Hampers will be given out on Saturday December 15th.
