Woodlands County 2018 Year in Review

The year 2018 was a good one for Woodlands County, filled with growth and fun events.

The area saw a new addition put on the Goose Lake fire hall, a new building acquired by the Whitecourt and District Chamber of Commerce, the opening of new businesses, and a number of new events.

Woodlands County Mayor Jim Rennie with more 2018 highlights.

Rennie says the year also presented its challenges, such as the spring flooding along the Athabasca River and Flats Road, and damage done to Anselmo Hall that required repairs.
