The Town of Edson wants to make sure families are prepared for an emergency.
Edson’s Protective Services Department is urging residents to build and maintain a 72-hour emergency preparedness kit.
Protective Services, in partnership with Citizens on Patrol, have purchased 200, 72-hour emergency bags for Edson residents.
A brochure outlining what types of items to put in your kit will accompany the bag. Kits should contain enough supplies to keep you and your family safe and comfortable for a minimum of 72 hours and stored in easy to access locations such as a front closet.
Free bags are available on a first come, first serve basis at the Edson Town Office or the Edson Fire Hall from Monday to Friday between 8-4.
