Mayerthorpe RCMP have made an arrest in the investigation of the break and enter to a telecommunications site in Sangudo last week.

Around 2:30 Thursday morning, RCMP were dispatched to the site in Sangudo after a male dressed in dark clothing was seen entering the building before departing in a vehicle.

A fire was intentionally set to the building causing minor damage to the structure and extensive damage to the equipment inside, resulting in no phone service to Lac Ste. Anne County on Thursday.

RCMP on Friday charged 35-year-old Trevor James Fagin of No Fixed Address with arson, 4 counts of mischief to property under $5000, and one count of mischief endangering life.

Fagin remains in custody pending a bail hearing on April 3rd at Stony Plain Provincial Court.
