One of Edmonton’s most wanted criminals was apprehended this week in Drayton Valley.
On Monday, May 6th around 9 pm, Drayton Valley RCMP with assistance from the Western Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit arrested 29-year-old Terence John Woodward.
Woodward was wanted on a Canada-wide Warrant for a parole violation stemming from a previous drug trafficking conviction.
A search warrant was executed at Woodward’s residence in Drayton Valley. As a result, police seized 35.6 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of cocaine, a small quantity of heroin, a significant amount of cash and several prohibited weapons.
Two other males and three females were also arrested and several charges are pending.
Woodward has been charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of currency obtained by commission of a criminal offence, possession of a prohibited device, possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public, and possession of a prohibited device while prohibited.
Woodward was additionally charged with flight from police stemming from an incident which occurred in Drayton Valley on April 11, 2019.
