Spruce Grove Man Facing Multiple New Charges After Warrant Arrest

RCMP in Spruce Grove arrested a man this week on an outstanding warrant and ended up laying more charges against him.

On May 14th, the Spruce Grove-Stony Plain RCMP Drug Section arrested the man at the Tri Leisure Centre in Spruce Grove.

At the time of his arrest, the man was bound by three separate probation orders and one recognizance.

Other charges have now been laid, as he was found in possession of 24 grams of crystal meth, and 2 grams of fentanyl.

Further investigation resulted in the seizure of another 6 grams of crystal meth from a locker at the Tri Leisure Centre.

31-year-old Tyson Niles of Spruce Grove has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of fentanyl, possession of property obtained by crime, fail to comply with recognizance, and 6 counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Niles remains in custody and will appear in Stony Plain Provincial Court on May 22nd.
