Woodlands County has recently made changes to the role of Chief Administrative Officer.
The County has parted ways with interim CAO Paul Hanlan, who started the role in February on a probationary term.
Once the probationary contract was up for review this month, Woodlands County Mayor Ron Govenlock says the County chose not to extend that contract and instead look for an alternate to fill the role.
Govenlock says it was not an easy decision, but one that was made in the municipality’s best interest.
Instead of sending out applications for the position again, the County has appointed Gordon Frank as CAO on an interim probationary period to see if he will fit the role long-term.
Mayor Govenlock says Frank has been with the County for about 5 years and has had a number of roles within the municipality.
