Canada Day is just around the corner and if you’re interested in participating in Whitecourt’s parade, there is still time to register.

This year, there is a shortage of parade floats. Not enough entries came in before the June 24th deadline, so now the organizing committee has extended the deadline until June 29th at midnight.

Organizer Steve Schofield with the Whitecourt Legion says it’s easy and free to participate in the parade.

Participants are asked to meet at the Muster Point for 10 am on Canada Day and then the parade will follow the standard parade route through downtown Whitecourt starting at 11 am until noon.
