It was a good turnout on Tuesday night at the Westward Community Centre for Woodlands County’s Public Open House.
About 135 people were in attendance to hear information about the inter-municipal collaboration agreements between the County and Town of Whitecourt.
Discussions specifically focused on the cost-share agreement, the tax revenue sharing agreement and the water/wastewater agreement that have all been at the forefront of ongoing discussions between the Town and County.
County Mayor Ron Govenlock says Council was pleased with the turnout and public interest.
Govenlock says Council will review the comments given by residents and reflect on those points at their next open house, taking place at the Fort Assiniboine Legion on August 6th. That meeting will give eastern county residents the chance to hear information and give their feedback.
