The Echo Society in Whitecourt celebrated a milestone moment yesterday, holding a grand re-opening event at their new location on 50th Avenue.
The organization’s employees and directors were joined by local officials, members of the Whitecourt Chamber of Commerce, and business owners for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 11th.
After renting in their old spot for over 20 years, Echo decided to purchase a building of their own at the start of the year. After putting in an offer on the building in March, they started construction on their new office in May and moved into the space at the end of July.
Echo Society’s Executive Director Louise Meier says it’s great to have a place to call their own.
Operating for 30 years in Whitecourt, Echo Society provides life long learning support to people with disabilities.
