Alberta’s Justice Minister will be in Whitecourt tonight to hear from residents about rural crime in the area.
Minister Doug Schweitzer will be at the Forest Interpretive Centre from 5-7 today, September 12.
He will be joined by MLA Martin Long for an open town hall where area residents can voice their experiences with and concerns about rural crime.
The Minister is touring the province all month, meeting with residents, business owners, rural crime watch groups and local officials in urban and rural municipalities to gain input about the province’s rural crime problem.
The Forest Interpretive Centre is located at 3003 – 33 Street in Whitecourt, off of Highway 43.
