With the majority of Alberta voting blue in the federal election on Monday, Conservative MP for Peace River-Westlock, Arnold Viersen is celebrating being re-elected as the riding’s MP for another term.

Viersen thanks constituents for their votes and says that despite the results not being the outcome they had hoped, western Conservative politicians will be sending a clear message to Ottawa.

Viersen says he will continue to fight for forestry, farming and the oil and gas sectors that are so important to the local communities, while the Conservatives work to try and get resources to market.

He is also focused on the fight against child exploitation and human trafficking in the country, an initiative Viersen undertook in his first term.
