Woodlands County has announced that they have officially switched over their 911 calls and fire services dispatch to Parkland County.
The move was to support the mutual-aid partnerships with Barrhead County, Lac Ste. Anne County, and the Town of Whitecourt who all utilize Parkland County for these services.
The new system is live and the County says the change will see no impact on residents and will strengthen Woodlands County’s emergency communication, particularly when responding to mutual-aid calls.
Previously, the County had used Yellowhead County for its dispatch services and emergency management.
