Municipal road maintenance in terms of snow plowing was a topic brought up at Woodlands County Council this week.

Members of Council explained that they have received numerous complaints from County residents about roads not being plowed well or in a timely manner after the last snowfall.

County Mayor John Burrows says Council discussed the service levels with Administration and the goals that are set in place when it comes to road maintenance.

Mayor Burrows noted it is difficult to plow all roads after a snowfall as fast as people would like but says Council directed Administration to review the Road Maintenance policy, which includes sanding and plowing, to see if any changes need to be made going forward.
