Another auto dealership in the Town of Edson has been destroyed by fire.

At 5:00 this morning, Edson and Yellowhead County fire crews were called to a structure fire at Edson Honda.

Over 20 firefighters along with three engines, one aerial unit, and a rescue truck were able to bring the fire under control in about an hour. Also in attendance on scene were command vehicles, EMS, and RCMP.

According to Edson’s Fire Chief, the portion of the showroom that suffered the most damage was the ATV and quad sales area, as well as some of the service area.

While it is still too early to determine a cause for the fire, damage estimates are already over a million dollars.

People are asked to continue avoiding the area as crews work on cleaning up.

Earlier this month, on December 9th, the Edson Chrysler dealership also suffered extensive damage from a fire, and that incident remains under investigation.
