Another known offender on outstanding warrants was arrested this week by Parkland RCMP.
On February 2nd, police were on patrol on Range Road 35 in Duffield when they saw a male with outstanding warrants driving a vehicle.
Rudy Bird of Duffield had a warrant out for being unlawfully at large.
RCMP attempted to stop the vehicle, but Bird fled from police at a high rate of speed and they did not pursue due to concerns for the public’s safety.
They located him on February 12th in the area of Paul Band First Nation after doing vehicle checks and Bird, 37, was arrested without incident.
He is facing 3 charges: being unlawfully at large, failing to attend court, and flight from a peace officer.
Bird remains in custody after a hearing yesterday.
