It was another successful sled invasion weekend for the Whitecourt Trailblazers, as they celebrated their 40th anniversary.
The snowmobile parade on Friday night saw hundreds of riders come out to try and break the Trailblazers’ record of 1,047 sleds that they set 5 years ago.
Unfortunately, the record was not broken but Trailblazers President Roxanne Brown says the riders that participated all had a good time.
For the parade, there were 480 adult riders and 143 passengers and kids for a total of 623. Riders also came out for the weekend’s Sled Rally, where a total of 591 people registered to ride on Saturday, and 298 on Sunday.
Crowds also flocked to downtown for the highly anticipated Octane Addictions freestyle shows held Friday and Sunday nights.
