Whitecourt RCMP arrested two males this week after a Woodlands County property was broken into.
Police received a call at 6 am March 2nd for a break and enter to a towing company shop in the County. The property owner had seen two males fleeing the property on an ATV.
RCMP, with the assistance of Police Dog Services, located the men who had abandoned the ATV and were running on foot into a wooded area. They were arrested without incident.
49-year-old Brian Mareck and 39-year-old Chad Penman, both of no fixed address, are jointly charged with break and enter to a business, disguise with intent to commit an offence, and possession of break-in instruments.
Both are also facing separate charges for failing to comply with release conditions (x3).
Both remain in custody following judicial hearings and they are scheduled to appear in court on March 10th in Whitecourt.
