Edson RCMP have arrested a suspect in the investigation into the break-in at the Edson Food Bank last weekend.
At approximately 10:30 am on March 14th, Edson RCMP received a report of a break and enter that occurred at the Food Bank sometime overnight. A number of grocery items and 400 lbs of hamburger were stolen, totaling $3,100.
Through the help of neighbouring surveillance cameras, RCMP have arrested and charged 19-year-old Matthew Guthrie of Edson with break and enter to a business, theft under $5000, mischief under $5000, and possession of stolen property under $5000.
Following a judicial hearing, Guthrie was released on no cash bail to attend court in Edson on April 7th.
Edson RCMP say they are still actively looking for additional suspects in the break and enter.
