Edson RCMP have made an arrest after a young man was stabbed early yesterday morning.
At approximately 1:45 am March 18th, Edson RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing that occurred at an apartment building in the area of 56 Street and 11 Avenue in Edson.
A 21-year-old Edson man suffered a stab wound and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. RCMP believe this was an isolated incident.
Police have arrested and charged 19-year-old Dylan Aldoff of Edson. At the time of his arrest, he was found to be in possession of illegal drugs believed to be MDMA and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.
Aldoff is facing 8 charges related to the stabbing and drug possession, including:
· Attempted murder
· Aggravated assault
· Break and enter with intent
· Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm (x2)
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
· Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
He remains in custody following a judicial hearing and will speak to a bail hearing set on March 20th in Edmonton Provincial Court.
