The Town of Fox Creek, in helping residents with financial relief during the Coronavirus pandemic, will allow the deferment of utility penalties for the months of March, April, and May.

Town Council made the approval this week, noting that penalties will resume June 1st on any outstanding balances.

Fox Creek has also put together a COVID-19 Business Health and Safety Preparedness Package for businesses and non-profits.

The package includes a number of resources such as preparedness and preparation methods to stop the spread of the virus, as well as tips, templates, and contacts for employers and employees.

At Monday’s Council meeting, the Town introduced the new Director of Emergency and Protective Services, Phyllis Forsyth.

Council motioned for the closure of the Administration and Public works buildings to the public, with exceptions to those with appointments. Residents can make payments online or call the Town Office.

And Council directed Administration to place “Playground Closed” signs at community parks until further notice.
