Mayerthorpe RCMP arrested three people after an armed robbery at the Liquor Store in Sangudo on the evening of March 21.
At approximately 8:40 p.m., two males wearing masks entered the store, producing a bat and a firearm. Once inside, one of the males sprayed several employees with pepper spray, while the other male removed the cash register.
The two suspects also took several bottles of liquor before leaving in a waiting vehicle with a third person as the driver and fled the scene.
Mayerthorpe RCMP located the vehicle shortly after receiving the call and followed it on a rural road heading towards Barrhead. Barrhead RCMP assisted in the pursuit and deployed a tire deflation device that incapacitated the vehicle. All three suspects were then taken into custody without further incident.
Darwin Wolf Hallock (24) of Grande Cache, Norman Billy Wanyandie (37) of Grande Cache, and Annie Moberly (36) of Spruce Grove were charged with multiple offences, some of which include:

Hallock and Wanyandie have been remanded into custody after a judicial hearing. Moberly has since been released on conditions. The three accused are scheduled to appear in Mayerthorpe Provincial Court on June 11, 2020.
